Immortal

                                       Well, I'm back, with a new book called Immortal, by Gillian Shields.

                                                    


Rating: 3 and a half stars

 This book says it's a romance, but it's more of a mystery. Half the book is told from the point of a sixteen year old girl named Evie, who is forced to go to a boarding school for rich ( and kinda snobby) girls who dislike her the moment she walks in. The other half is in the form of a diary written by a woman named Agnes who has special powers.

Evie meets a boy named Sebastian who looks ill and rides a black horse. She sneaks out to meet him every night, but stops for a while when she starts to have strange visions. One tells her to "stay away from him" and Evie thinks "him" may be Sebastian. Agnes has a friend who envies her power and wants them to gain immortality.

Now this sounds like some great, surprising romance/mystery book, but let me warn you. For me at least, Immortal was very predictable. There was hardly anything that surprised me when the mystery was solved. So choose for yourself if you should read this book or not.
